The wonderful building occupied by the Angkor Spirit Palace was built in 1988 as a cultural centre to teach aspiring artists the gentle but exacting art of traditional Apsara dancing.The building is unique and displays many elements of traditional Khmer architecture.The owneroperators of this new hotel - Mr Khim Chamroeun and Mrs Khim Chandany - saw the potential to use this wonderful building as a hotel and to share it with visitors to Siem Reap.The unique design and structure was maintained but they carefully converted the interior into a first-class hotel with modern amenities.
